This is a varied, hands-on Assistant Accountant Role which involves:

The focus of the role will be to bridge the gap between transactional finance and management accounts. It involves assisting the management accountant with management accounting duties, reports, and the wider finance function.����������������

The extent of your duties will include but are not limited to:

• Working closely with the Line Manager, Management Accounts to ensure accurate month end, preparation and reporting of the monthly Management Accountants


• Accruals & Prepayments


• Revenue accruals & deferrals


• Transactional Finance


• Assisting in financial reporting


• Variance analysis with commentary


• Matching costs to revenue to ensure accurate reporting


• Investigation and commentary on variances to budget


• Balance sheet reconciliations


• Other ad-hoc duties


• We are looking for a confident, reliable person, who is committed, able to cope in a pressured environment

Location / Office / Culture

The role is office based in their new Rugby facility, with the chance to become hybrid after probation. The company operate from a modern office consisting of a strong team of circa 10.

What We Are Looking For

The ideal candidate will have:

• Minimum of 18 months in accountancy role, with good understanding of accruals and prepayments.


• Experience in Payroll, Fixed Assets is a bonus!


• ACCA/CIMA studying is desired, but not essential


• Sage Impact System understanding is desired but not essential


• Self-sufficient, confident persona
