We support some of the most well-known housebuilders and main contractors in our sector.
Due to growth plans and winning a few large contractors we are investing in the team with several roles.

The new Assistant Buyer is a new role to aid the further growth of this business.
The role of Assistant Buyer will involve the following:
 

• Managing inventory and keeping track of market trends


• Investigating new products to bring to our portfolio including negotiating with new suppliers


• Requesting quotations and negotiating pricing


• Keeping the business and its stakeholders abreast with price changes


• Identify discrepancies in inventory and provide solutions


• Develop and manage good relationships with suppliers


• Maintain accurate records of procurement activities and cost savings achieved


• At times, you’ll be involved in the data and analytics in supporting budget monitoring and stock valuation

The Candidate
We’re looking to engage with interested applicants who have experience in purchasing/buying and/or supply chain
You’ll be well versed in purchasing, especially from a volume product background, ideally building materials
The Assistant Buyer hire would need to demonstrate skills in pulling various processes together, finding solutions, working with data and importantly the wider business providing insight and control over supplier engagement and product movements.
