Our client has grown to become one of the most successful privately owned and family run construction groups in the UK. As a result of continued growth, they are seeking to recruit an Assistant Crane Manager to support the Group Crane Manager based at their Headquarters near Derby. This is a full time and permanent position working 40hrs per week.



Duties:



Our client procures orders and coordinates the installation and other assosicated works of around:

20/25 tower cranes per year.

20/25 Construction Hoists.

50/60 Mast Climbers.



The Assistant rile will assist with the day to day management of around �6million worth of turnover per annum. The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate that they would be capable if initially following some training undertake the procurement and remote management of all construction hoists, whilst assisting with the procurement of mast climbers and cranes.



The successful candidate must be able to demontrate the ability to work with the teams to see the successful installation of plant including the following tasks:



Selection of plant with the site team,

Placing order with suppliers.

Coordinating delivery to suit site programmes,

Coordinate temporary connections.

Attending sites for hoist installs, familiarise site teams with hoist procedures.

Receive invoices, check and process.

Single point of contact for hoist suppliers and likewise back up for site teams to deal with any issues arising during the hire.

Using 3rd party supply chains to operate and supervise cranes.

Coordination of lfting teams including new sites and holiday / sickness cover.



Crane Safey Audits:



Undertaken quarterly 15 cranes per quarter by 3rd parties, the job would include.



Shadow / Support Auditors on occasions.

Collate and process invoices.

Receive audits and distribute to safety advisors.

Chase and close out actions and issues closed out audits.

Collate quarterly reports.



Admin would include:



Collate all weekly invoices for sign off by the DS then process and file.

Collate all monthly invoices for sign off by the DS then process and file.

Manage operator hire agreements with 3rd Party / Site.

Create and manage operator directory (training records, familiarisation etc).

Raise plant orders for crane and lifting accessories and all ancilliary items.

Raise plant orders for hoists.

Create and run a live plant register for all lifting accessories owned by our client.
