Job Role: Assistant Design Manager
Location: Wakefield
Salary: �35,000/�45,000 (DOE)
Assistant Design Manager required on a permanent basis for one of our regional construction clients based�out of the Wakefield office.
With a solid pipeline of projects for 2025/6 our client�is expanding their design team and is looking for an Assistant Design Manager to work on projects within the�education, healthcare, commercial, distribution and industrial sectors up to��20M in value.
The Role:
- Design Management / Coordination of projects.
- Manage the flow of design information, conduct design-gap reviews, develop value engineering proposals and to risk-manage the design development process.
- Work with the project teams, clients, designers and subcontractors to ensure optimal design solutions are employed.
- Deliver a design and sequence that can be delivered safely and maximise profit opportunities.
- Design gap analysis
- Consultant appointments including, Scope of services, Matrix of responsibilities etc.
- Attend and chair Design Team Meetings to ensure the timely flow and release of quality information and to ensure that this information is in line with contractual obligations.
- Produce technical information for company pre-qualification presentations.
