Job Title: Assistant Estimator

Location: Hertfordshire

Package: £35,000 - £45,000 plus car allowance and bonus

Skilled Careers are working with one of Europe's largest Main Contractor's who due to an incredible amount of work winning they are looking for an Assistant Estimator to join the Estimating team across multiple high-profile contracts. Accurately preparing the financial element of bids and producing estimates on appropriate schemes to the right net cost in a timely manner. The ultimate goal is to deliver profitable, de-risked, winning bids on time and to the highest quality, providing estimating services on projects and strategic & contract changes.

The Assistant Estimator would be working on Industrial and Commercial Projects from £20m up to £200m.

Duties

• The Assistant Estimator would be working on Industrial and Commercial Projects out of their office in Hertfordshire.


• Can demonstrate commercial awareness and a strong understanding / have a willingness to learn all elements of the construction process


• Able to create and follow clearly set-out processes


• Methodical, analytical and organised with an attention to detail


• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal 


• Ability to work well under pressure


• Personable and effective team player


• Open to feedback with a willingness to learn and improve.

Requirements

• An Assistant Estimator who has experience working for a UK Construction company.


• Commercial experience


• Someone has the ambitions to progress
