gap construction are looking for an assistant Estimator to join a successful carpentry contractor that have built a wealth of experience within the construction industry, undertaking all aspects of carpentry work in London, The Home Counties and the Southeast.
Performance Objectives

• Undertaking the preparation and processing of quotations, bids, and tenders.
• Produce bill of quantities for final submission.
• To carry out monthly valuations of work in progress.
• Measure, value, submit and negotiate contract variations.
• Handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Provide advice to project staff on commercial and contractual matters and attend site when required.
• Assist in the process of reviewing and processing subcontractors' payment applications.
• Compliance with and assistance in helping promote the Health and Safety policy.

Person Specification

• Ability to use own initiative.
• Ability to work both independently with minimal supervision and cohesively as part of a team.
• Self-motivated and proactive.
• Professional presentation.
• Must be dynamic, professional, and forward thinking.
• Responsive to meet tender submission deadlines.
• Degree in quantity surveying or associated construction field ideal but not essential.
• Surveying / Estimating experience 1+ years.
