Assistant M&E Manager

Bennett & Game are seeking an Assistant M&E Manager to join the M&E department of a forward-thinking Main Contractor based in Chichester. This role offers the exciting opportunity to work on international projects, delivering high-quality electrical works across a range of commercial projects, including office refurbishments and fit-outs, with values ranging from �10k to �1m+.

This position is ideal for someone with hands-on electrical experience who is looking to transition into a management role while maintaining involvement in on-site works. The Assistant M&E Manager will work closely with engineers to ensure standards align with BS7671, demonstrating best practices and leading by example. Approximately 50 days per year will be spent travelling internationally, with the remaining time based in the UK.

Assistant M&E Manager Position Overview

• Manage and assist in delivering the electrical elements of construction projects from inception to completion.
• Support the procurement and logistics of materials and equipment.
• Arrange and conduct electrical surveys.
• Oversee the management and installation of electrical works to ensure quality and compliance.
• Visit project sites to provide guidance and ensure project standards are maintained.
• Support the Project Management team in ensuring projects are delivered on time and to specification.
• Supervise and coordinate the design aspects of electrical installations.
• Assist in preparing tenders and conducting material take-offs.

Assistant M&E Manager Position Requirements

• Commercial electrical experience essential.
• ECS Gold Card desirable.
• 2391 Test and Inspect or equivalent qualification desirable.
• Knowledge of BS5839-1/6 (advantageous but not essential).
• Ability to work in Chichester and travel internationally.
• Clean criminal history required for security clearance.
