Our client is a growing UK office & showroom for an established Chinese manufacturer who are recruiting for 1-2 years supplier based merchandising experience .
As Assistant Merchandiser you will be supporting a Senior with own accountabilities, and be part of a busy team working with multi category apparel, retailers and brands and vendors.
An understanding of the production process and timelines within fashion & textiles is essential.
Assistant Merchandiser : Job Outline
* Working alongside sales, sourcing, design and merchandising to ensure order are administered correctly and efficiently.
* Analyse sales data, customer feedback and market trends to anticipate product demands
* Daily communication with customers and factories, including order placement, follow-ups, and price
* Oversee product development and order delivery in collaboration with factories
* Confirming orders and coordinating bulk production with buyers and vendors
* Handling L/C opening procedures
* Ensuring process of inspections
* Overseeing /coordinating with shipping logistics.
Assistant Merchandiser – Skills & Requirements
* Experience within a merchandising, production co-ordinator or similar role within a supplier, manufacturer or trading office . Fashion and textiles experience is essential.
* Experience of managing relationships with multiple offshore production.
* Ability to work independently. Positive and proactive.
* Exceptional organisation skills and able to prioritise deadlines.
* Demonstrate good commercial awareness and problem solving skills
* Able to work under pressure.
* Analytical.
* Confident using Microsoft Excel, Word & Outlook
* Must have full Right to Work status in the UK
