Swift Placements are supporting our client based in Birkenhead recruit an Assistant Practice Manager to join them on a full time permanent basis. The ideal candidate will have experience working within a law firm and have exposure to all aspects of HR, Facilities and Payroll.
Responsibilities
- Managing day to day operations of the Practice reporting to the Partners.
- Handling all aspects of HR including recruitment, onboarding, training, appraisals, payroll.
- Financial month end and bank reconciliations and VAT returns.
- Managing facilities such as office maintenance, IT/systems usage.
- Reviewing policies and procedures in line with new legislations and accreditations.
- Reviewing client satisfaction questionnaires to identify any trends/areas for improvement.
- Undertaking file reviews to identify weaknesses and training issues.
- Marketing and negotiating to achieve savings
- Updating and adding forms and precedents for the firms case management system.
- Fee earner and cost reviews.
- Renewal of accreditations and Practising Certificates.
- Assisting with firm audits.
Experience and Knowledge
- Previous experience managing teams and operations.
- Previous experience within the legal sector is preferred.
- Strong financial knowledge.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office packages.
- Proactive and good organisational skills.
- Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
