Job Role - Assistant Quality Manager
Location - Manchester
We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Quality Manager to join our client's dynamic team in the food and drink industry. In this crucial role, you will bridge the gap between the Quality Manager and the Quality Assurance (QA) team, ensuring the highest standards of quality and compliance are met. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated professional to take on a pivotal position within the quality team.
Key Responsibilities:
-Act as the main point of contact for quality-related issues in the absence of the Quality Manager, making important decisions as needed.
-Ensure the site is always audit-ready and compliant with industry standards.
-Manage and lead a small team of Quality Assurance professionals.
-Support and participate in HACCP team meetings.
-Lead technical audits and assist the Quality Manager during external audits.
-Maintain a thorough understanding of BRC and HACCP standards, ensuring all practices are in alignment.
-Collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote a culture of continuous improvement and high-quality standards.
Requirements:
-Proven experience in a similar role within the food and drink industry.
-Demonstrated ability to manage and lead a team effectively.
-Previous exposure to BRC and HACCP standards is essential.
-Strong decision-making skills and the ability to act autonomously when necessary.
-Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Salary - �35,000-�40,000
