Assistant Quantity Surveyor

Unite People Build are working with a reputable and growing.� Privately owned contractor to hire an Assistant Quantity Surveyor for a salary position in the Derby East Midlands area.� The successful candidate will be working on any number of framework contracts, that the business is part of.��

You will benefit from working in a personable environment, with an experienced commercial team daily, continuously developing your skill-set whilst managing elements of the commercial process independently over time.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation of accurate cost estimates, budgets, and financial reports.


• Collaborate with project teams to monitor and control costs throughout the project lifecycles.


• Assist in the procurement of subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring cost-effectiveness and adherence to quality standards.


• Contribute to value engineering and cost-saving initiatives.


• Keep abreast of industry trends, regulations, and best practices.

Qualifications:

• Construction related qualification (preferred not essential)


• Proficient in relevant software tools (e.g., Excel)


• Ability to work collaboratively in a team and take initiative when necessary.


• Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
