Assistant Technical Manager

What You Will Do:
Drive Innovation: Coordinate and execute technical work programmes to support growth
Solve Complex Problems: Identify and implement solutions to technical challenges, ensuring projects hit key milestones and align with plans
Maintain Excellence: Ensure laboratory equipment is always operational and uphold the highest safety standards. Ensure all activities are covered by risk assessments
Stay Ahead: Keep abreast of the latest technologies and scientific developments to keep the business at cutting edge
Support & Train: Provide technical support, coaching, and training to the team and customers, ensuring everyone has the knowledge and tools they need to succeed
What You Bring:
Expertise: A PhD in a relevant technical subject and 2-5 years of experience in a related chemical business. Experience in silicas or silicates is a big plus
Leadership: Strong team management and planning skills
Problem-Solving: Ability to tackle complex issues and interpret data to generate actionable insights
Communication: Excellent decision-making and communication skills to influence stakeholders and customers
Flexibility: Willingness to adapt and work flexibly as needed
Curiosity: A proactive approach to learning and personal development, aiming to become a recognized specialist in your field.
