Assistant Vice President - Finance

Location: London

Our client is a global alternative investment manager that invests across the capital structure, in a range of asset classes, industries and geographies. The firm have offices in the United States, the United Kingdom, United Arab Emirates and Japan. The Group was formed at the end of 2022 and currently has c. $2.5bn of committed capital deployed and c. 60 employees globally. Its current portfolio is predominately credit type investments (private and liquid) with a smaller allocation in equities (private and listed).

They are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Vice President of Finance to join a dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background within private credit and equity funds. This role is responsible for the day-to-day management of Special Purpose Vehicles (SPVs), banking operations, financing facilities, oversight of third-party providers, and special projects. The role will report to the Head of Strategic Initiatives.

Duties and responsibilities:

* Oversee the financial operations and management of SPVs, ensuring compliance with reporting and regulatory requirements as well as internal policies.

* Manage banking relationships, including cash management, treasury functions, and banking transactions for the SPVs.

* Supervise and coordinate with third-party service providers (e.g. deal advisors, administrators, auditors etc.), ensuring high standards of service and compliance.

* Review financial statements, reports, and analyses for internal and external stakeholders.

* Lead and manage special projects as assigned, transactions execution, improvement of internal processes, and strategic initiatives.

* Ensure all financial activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.

Requirements:

* Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.

* Qualified chartered accountant

* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

* Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills

* Organised and detail oriented

* Proficient in Excel
