My client are a leading multidisciplinary engineering consultancy, providing innovative solutions across various sectors. With a strong commitment to excellence and sustainability, they have built a reputation for delivering high-quality projects that make a positive impact on communities. As they continue to expand their team, they are seeking a talented and motivated Associate Director with a mechanical bias to join their London office.
Roles and Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage a team of mechanical engineers, ensuring the successful delivery of projects within scope, budget, and timeframe.
* Provide technical expertise and guidance in mechanical engineering, offering innovative solutions to complex problems.
* Collaborate with clients, architects, and other stakeholders to develop project requirements and deliver high-quality designs.
* Oversee projects in various sectors, including but not limited to, Ministry of Defence (MOD) and Ministry of Justice (MOJ) projects, ensuring compliance with regulations and standards.
* Mentor and support junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development within the team.
* Drive business development initiatives, cultivating client relationships and identifying new opportunities for growth.

Qualifications:
* Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (Masters degree preferred)
* Chartered Engineer status with a recognized professional institution
* Proven experience in managing and delivering mechanical engineering projects
* Strong leadership and team management skills
* Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
* Business development acumen and client-focused approach
