Opportunity:

An amazing opportunity to work for a globally recognised multidisciplinary engineering firm as their new Associate Director, focussing your time and effort into their Natural Capital and Enviro-Economics team. This role will allow you to work collaboratively across the company with a number of different businesses and specialists within the environmental sector, both nationally and worldwide, in order to generate meaningful change.

As the Associate Director, you'll be working with government bodies, non-governmental organisations, project developers and many other clients across a range of sectors, many of whom share similar commitments to fighting environmental crises. Examples of client project types you'll be working alongside include ecology regeneration, carbon net zero aims and incorporating the worth of environmental assets into investment strategies. Finally, you have the chance to directly work with our clients, impacting their approach to address these challenges by providing key, professional insights.

Role Responsibilities:

As Associate Director, your main area of attention will be the projects based around natural capital and environmental economics. However, you will not be solely focussed on this, you will also have the chance to assist on BNG, net zero and other nature positive projects across the company. Other responsibilities will include:

  • Keeping current with your fast-growing field and the development of enviro-eco techniques.
  • Contribute to the enhancement and creation of existing and new digital software to clearly and concisely represent environmental impacts.
  • Undertaking a client facing role, handling business development and the presentation of essential jobs on projects/bids - this includes handling contributions from the junior team.
  • Undertaking a mentor position, providing support for the junior team and enabling healthy personnel development as well as concentrating on delivering technical excellence.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience applying enviro-economic techniques and natural capital assessments.
  • Successful experience in a client facing role, winning business and handling business development.
  • Experience as a line manager/mentor to junior team members.
  • Confident character, able to clearly and concisely deliver presentations/pitches to various clients, including those who are unfamiliar with the industry.
  • Adept organisational skills, calmy able to handle multiple assignments at the same time whilst adhering to strict deadlines.
  • Strong team-player, able to cooperate effectively with teams within or outside of the company.
  • Experience working within the developing natural market is desirable also.
