Associate Director - Special InvestigationsWe are searching for an experienced Associate Director - Special InvestigationsWe are looking for an Associate Director to join our SpecialInvestigations team in London. Our Special Investigations team focus oncontentious insolvency and fraud investigations with a demonstrated history ofrecovering assets from both the UK and overseas.  We deal with cross-border issues, complex litigation andnumerous contentious issues, as well as liquidations and high-profilebankruptcies.You will need to be analytical minded with report writingexperience as well as having strong interpersonal and management skills, toprofitably manage a large portfolio of cases, ensuring both excellent clientservice and making a significant contribution towards the overall futuredevelopment and success of the team, office, and firm.ResponsibilitiesPlanassignments in accordance with the Firm's standard procedures and relevantstatutory and extra statutory obligations, and to confirm arrangementswith the client, company, or appointer, including likely costs and billingarrangements.To manage a large portfolio ofinsolvency cases, including compulsory liquidations creditors voluntaryliquidations and bankruptcies.Tobrief staff (including those based in other offices working on theassignment) on cases, to supervise and control the completion of work andto undertake ‘on the job' training and appraisals where appropriate.Toconduct detailed analysis of financial information and other records, toidentify issues, assets and antecedent transactions including misfeasance,transactions at undervalue and breach of duty claims.Toensure that the job is completed within budget, and to discuss allmaterials points arising with the assignment director or partnerimmediately, particularly in relation to any anticipated overruns, orsignificant changes in likely outcome.Toliaise with third parties and stakeholders, including directors andcreditors throughout the appointment/assignment. The role will include thebriefing of legal advisors and close working with them during litigationmatters.Toensure that appropriate liaison takes place with other internaldepartments on cases as and when required, and to develop a detailedknowledge of the firm's specialist services.Perform the firm's senior staff reviewprocedures, ensuring that all points raised are adequately and promptlyactioned.Monitor assignments to establish andachieve the earliest and most efficient completion of the appointment.Toclosely monitor cases on their profitability and recoverability of work inprogress, and to identify billing opportunities on a timely basis.Maintain an advanced level of technicalknowledge through appropriate reading and courses and to fulfil theInstitute's CPE requirements, as required.Assist in recruitment, training andmarketing activities as required. Carry out any other duties as are withinthe scope, spirit and purpose of the job, the title of the role and itsgrading, as requested by the Head of Department.Personal andProfessional QualitiesIt is our peoplethat makes RSM what it is, and our commitment to people is paramount to oursuccess.
