Attendance Officer

Tradewind Recruitment is working with a secondary school located in Haringey, North London, which is seeking an experienced and highly organised Attendance Officer to join the team in March/April for the academic year initially. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the school's attendance and punctuality targets are met.

Salary: �16+ per hour (dependant on experience)

Full-time

Start Date: March/April

This is a full-time role, 8.00am - 3.30pm and there may be some working during holidays required but this is typically likely to only be at the beginning and end of the Summer break.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and manage student attendance and punctuality records
• Identify and address attendance and punctuality issues with students and parents
• Communicate regularly with parents, teachers, and senior leadership team regarding attendance and punctuality concerns
• Work collaboratively with the school pastoral team and external agencies to support students with attendance and punctuality issues
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date attendance and punctuality records
• Assist with the preparation of attendance reports and statistics for senior leadership team and external agencies

Requirements:

• ESSENTIAL - Previous experience working in an Attendance Officer role in a secondary school
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Knowledge of the SIMS system is essential
