The Role:
As an Audit Senior, you will take charge of delivering audit assignments from start to finish. You'll work closely with assistant managers, managers, and senior team members to ensure that audits are completed to the highest standard. A key part of your role will involve building strong client relationships, executing audit procedures, and providing guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead on-site audits, ensuring they are executed according to plan, managing resources efficiently, and meeting deadlines.
- Maintain high audit quality by ensuring compliance with company policies, auditing standards, and best practices.
- Supervise and mentor junior staff, offering constructive feedback and supporting their professional growth.
- Prepare on-site audit reports, identifying key risks and significant issues for senior review.
- Build strong client relationships by adapting communication and approach to meet client needs and ensuring satisfaction.
- Work across service lines to enhance the client experience by recognizing opportunities for collaboration.
- Contribute to team development, sharing knowledge, and fostering a culture of cooperation.
- Continuously develop your technical expertise and actively seek learning opportunities.
Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise:
- ACA/ACCA qualified (or equivalent) with proven experience in audit and accounts.
- Strong understanding of audit and regulatory standards.
- Familiarity with risk assessment and effective controls within the audit process.
- Strong client management skills and ability to build lasting relationships.
- Experience leading and supporting junior staff in a team setting.
- Up-to-date knowledge of accounting and auditing standards, including FRS and IFRS.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Experience with CaseWare and CCH is a plus but not required.
