Role: Authorised Technician (AT) – Vestas - Ideally V164 – (Client Side)Location: Offshore UKStart Date: ASAPDuration: TBC – At least through August – Potential to extend to long-term workRotation: Ideally 2/2 – Can be negotiatedRates: PAYE or Umbrella - NegotiableClearance: BPSSMUST have eligibility to work in the UKOverview:We are seeking a highly skilled and certified Vestas Authorized Wind Turbine Technician (AT) to join our team for offshore wind farm completions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, and completion of Vestas wind turbines in a challenging offshore environment. This role requires technical expertise, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work in demanding conditions.Key Responsibilities:Turbine Installation and Commissioning:Execute the installation and commissioning of Vestas wind turbines according to technical specifications and project plans.Perform mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic tasks to ensure the proper functioning of turbines.Conduct system tests and troubleshooting to identify and resolve issues during the commissioning phase.Offshore Operations:Work on offshore platforms and vessels to carry out turbine completions.Adhere to safety protocols and procedures specific to offshore operations.Collaborate with the offshore team to ensure seamless execution of tasks and efficient use of resources.Maintenance and Repairs:Conduct routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on installed turbines.Identify and replace faulty components to ensure optimal turbine performance.Keep detailed records of maintenance activities and turbine status.Safety and Compliance:Follow all health, safety, and environmental policies to ensure a safe working environment.Participate in safety drills and emergency response training.Ensure compliance with industry regulations and Vestas standards.Documentation and Reporting:Maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation of all work performed.Provide regular reports on project progress, turbine performance, and any issues encountered.Use Vestas software and tools for data entry and reporting purposes.Team Collaboration:Work closely with other technicians, engineers, and project managers to achieve project goals.Provide technical support and guidance to less experienced team members.Communicate effectively with onshore and offshore teams to coordinate activities.Qualifications:Vestas Authorized Technician (AT) certification is mandatory.Proven experience in wind turbine installation, commissioning, and maintenance, preferably in an offshore environment.Strong technical knowledge of Vestas wind turbine systems and components.Proficiency in troubleshooting and problem-solving mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.Valid GWO (Global Wind Organisation) certifications, including Working at Heights, Sea Survival, Manual Handling, Fire Awareness, and First Aid.Offshore Medical and Survival certifications (e.g., BOSIET, HUET).Excellent understanding of health and safety regulations related to offshore wind operations.Ability to work in challenging offshore conditions and adapt to changing environments.Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.Proficiency in using Vestas software and diagnostic tools.
