A leading bus company have permanent job opportunities for an�Auto Electrician�to be based at their Depots in�Barking and Bow,�East London�to assist Managers and Supervisors of the garage Engineering function to effectively maintain Company vehicles and premises in line with VOSA, Company and ISO 9001:2000 standards.



The main tasks of the�Auto Electrician's�role are Repair electrical components of all vehicles to Company and Statutory standards. Assist in the preparation of all vehicles for Annual Test (MOT).



The�Auto Electrician�will conduct the maintenance of electrical components of all vehicles, including diagnosing and repairing defective electrical components and inspect the electrics of all vehicles to ensure they meet Company and Statutory standards.



The�Auto Electrician�will maintain electrical components of all vehicles in accordance with Company and Vehicle Manufacturing specifications. Maintain documentation as per documented quality procedures. Fault diagnose, including the use of specialist equipment relevant to vehicles in your garage.



Experience, Knowledge & Qualifications Required for the Auto Electrician role



The successful candidate must have an NVQ or City and Guilds Level 3 qualification in HGV/PSV Vehicle Electrics Services or equivalent training.�Have a proven track record in HGV/PSV Vehicle maintenance or similar vehicle types. Excellent attention to detail and fault diagnosing skills. Ability to work well as a team player. A proactive attitude. Demonstrate flexibility in line with operational requirements. Maintain good housekeeping and conform to health, safety and environmental regulations.



Health & Safety Responsibility to comply with health and safety instructions and directives issued by management. To use the appropriate safety equipment properly. To wear Personal Protective Equipment where applicable and report any loss.
