Due to continued growth, the company now wishes to hire a Cad Technician with a proven and demonstrable track record in CAD.

Reporting to our head draughtsman, you will need to perform a broad variety of drafting duties utilising 2 D Computer-Aided Design/Drafting (CAD) software in support of the company's business activities. The role would be based in Bolton.

CAD Technician Key Responsibilities:

• Production of detailed fabrication drawings to allow the construction of bespoke products


• Ability to deal with multiple projects concurrently


• Production of preliminary drawings as a design aid for clients


• Working with the production of manufacturing sheets.


• Liaise with, as necessary, project managers/surveyors and the wider drawing team


• Control and issue of all drawings and technical information and liaising with clients project progress


• Upload of relevant documents and drawings to clients (often on their internal systems i.e. Asite)


• Follow projects from initial design stages through to its completion


• Support the sales team with technical submittals as per project requirements

Skills & Knowledge :

AutoCad 2D Draughting.

• Excellent oral and written communication.


• Desirable HND/HNC level or Apprentice trained in an Engineering/Mechanical discipline.


• Experience in the production of construction drawings using�2D Autocad�software.


• Good knowledge and understanding of Construction drawings.


• Strong understanding of structural systems and construction details.


• Computer literate e.g. MS Office Desirable


• An understanding of manufacturing techniques and installation procedures


• Ability to work under pressure


• Demonstrate initiative and display a proactive approach


• Fantastic attention to detail.
