The last few years at Briggs has seen us grow exponentially; the Automation Manager role is part of a wider restructure to reflect our new stature in the market, as one of the leading process engineering firms in the world.

Day to Day
Strategic Leadership:
Head both Electrical and Automation Engineering departments developing and executing a strategicvision, aligning departmental goals with overall business objectives.
Lead the recruitment, training, development, and retention of top engineering talent, ensuring the teamis equipped to meet evolving industry needs.
Oversee project resources and ensure seamless global operations in automation and electricalengineering projects.
Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations across project delivery and engineering activities.
Operational Management:
Oversee daily operations, optimising team efficiency, resource allocation, and project execution. Ensurehigh-quality design standards and deliverables.
Foster collaboration between electrical and automation engineering teams to support cohesive projectmanagement.
Foster wider collaboration with all other business areas to ensure consistency of incoming sales andexcellent reporting and management of work in progress.
Take full accountability, utilising the department Project Management resource for project specifications,timelines, quality and budgets, ensuring successful delivery of both electrical and automation components.
Continuous Improvement:
Champion continuous improvement initiatives to optimise engineering processes.
Ensure ongoing professional development, identifying training needs to keep the team aligned withindustry standards and technological advancements.

Who We're Looking For
Minimum of 10 years experience in Electrical and Control System Engineering, with a focus on hygienic processing environments (brewing, distilling, pharmaceutical, food).
Proven experience in senior leadership, with a track record of strategic planning, recruitment, and resource management.
Technical Skills:
Experience in system virtualisation using platforms like VMware.
Strong command of MS Office, Excel, Access, and Microsoft Project.
