Automation Technician



Working within high volume precision mechanical assembly engineering environment.���Responsible for a range of traditional and modern tools and equipment including presses, assembly and automation.



Main Responsibilities�



We are seeking a skilled Technician to join our team, supporting automated and semi-automated assembly cells.��Must have a strong technical background in diagnostic and fault-finding on a range of automation systems.

Standard Duties




  • Troubleshooting and Diagnostics: Diagnose and troubleshoot issues within automated systems, identifying faults quickly and implementing effective solutions to minimize downtime and maintain productivity.

  • Maintenance and Repairs: Perform regular preventive maintenance on a variety of automated assembly cells to ensure maximum efficiency of equipment.

  • Fault-Finding:���Identify root causes of technical issues within the automation��processes to improve efficiency and reduce cycle times.

  • Optimisation and Continuous Improvement: Evaluate and optimise automation processes to improve efficiency, reduce cycle times, and enhance product quality.

  • Collaboration with Automation Integrators: Work closely with automation integrators on the installation, testing, and upgrading of automated systems, ensuring compliance with standards and alignment with production goals.

  • Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and regulations, promoting a safe work environment while handling complex automation systems.

  • Documentation and Reporting:��Maintain detailed records of all maintenance, repairs and troubleshooting activities.
