Our Leamington site boasts a new bespoke paint facility, where we work on a variety of automotive products including concept cars, show cars, clay models, design models, carbon fibre and composite materials, metals, plastics, and other prototype materials.

Job Summary:

We are seeking skilled and detail-oriented Paint Technicians to join our team at Futura Design. The successful candidates will have high-quality surfacing and preparation skills, a keen eye for detail, and thrive in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for painting a variety of automotive products to the highest standards, ensuring a flawless finish.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Surface Preparation:

    • Prepare surfaces of various materials such as metals, plastics, carbon fibre, and composite materials for painting.
    • Sand, fill, and smooth surfaces to achieve the required finish.
    • Apply primers and undercoats as necessary.



  • Painting:

    • Apply paint using various techniques to achieve high-quality finishes on concept cars, show cars, clay models, design models, and other prototypes.
    • Mix and match paint colors to achieve the desired shades and finishes.
    • Ensure even application and flawless finishes through attention to detail and precision.



  • Quality Control:

    • Inspect painted surfaces for defects and ensure adherence to quality standards.
    • Perform touch-ups and refinishing as needed to maintain high-quality outputs.
    • Maintain a clean and organized work area to prevent contamination.



  • Equipment Maintenance:

    • Maintain and clean painting equipment, ensuring it is in good working condition.
    • Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs to the supervisor.



  • Collaboration and Support:

    • Work closely with the design and engineering teams to meet project specifications and deadlines.
    • From time to time, support painting activities at our Coventry site as required.
    • Provide input on improving painting processes and techniques.



  • Qualifications:

    • Previous experience as a Paint Technician in the automotive industry.
    • Proficient in various painting techniques and surface preparation methods.
    • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
    • Ability to work efficiently
