Our client, a prominent player in the aerospace sector, is seeking an experienced Avionics Supervisor to join their team on a contract basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing detailed maintenance activities on aircraft or aircraft components, ensuring airworthiness and managing personnel to meet strategic delivery targets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Undertaking detailed maintenance, inspection, and supervision activities on aircraft or aircraft components
  • Deriving and implementing diagnostic techniques to resolve maintenance issues
  • Ensuring work is completed in accordance with the Statement of Work (SOW) and approved technical information
  • Tasking and supervising maintenance staff, ensuring tasks are distributed and completed efficiently
  • Escalating issues and reporting impacts on the wider programme as required
  • Maintaining personal and team task authorisation for aircraft maintenance
  • Providing guidance and leadership, developing team members through formal assessment processes and on-the-job training
  • Promoting safety management practices, including Human Factors and Safety Assurance within the team
Job Requirements:
  • Extensive experience in avionics and aircraft maintenance
  • Strong leadership and people management skills
  • Proven ability to manage Part 145 compliance activities and documentation
  • Understanding of Continuing Airworthiness Regulatory framework and its application
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to implement effective improvements
  • Proficient in conducting fault evaluations and raising necessary work cards during maintenance
  • Solid communication skills to convey complex information clearly and effectively
  • Flexibility and a proactive attitude towards responsibilities in the role
