We're looking for an Azure Cloud Engineer to join a dynamic team within a leading technology-driven organisation. Reporting to the Head of Cloud Infrastructure, the Azure Cloud Engineer will play an essential role in building, deploying, and managing scalable, secure cloud solutions on Microsoft Azure. This position is perfect for a tech-savvy professional who's passionate about leveraging cloud technologies to drive efficiency and innovation across the business.




The Opportunity

As an Azure Cloud Engineer, you'll be working in a cross-functional team responsible for designing, deploying, and optimising the organisation's cloud infrastructure. In this role, you will:

  • Build and maintain secure, scalable cloud infrastructure on Microsoft Azure.
  • Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps, ensuring smooth deployment processes.
  • Use Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform to automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration.
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues using tools like Azure Monitor and Log Analytics.
  • Work closely with network and security teams to maintain secure and compliant cloud environments.
  • Automate tasks and workflows using scripting languages like PowerShell or Python.
  • Collaborate with application and database teams to ensure optimal integration and performance of cloud services.
  • Develop and maintain disaster recovery strategies to ensure high availability and resilience.

This is a hands-on role where you'll directly contribute to enhancing cloud efficiency, security, and performance, becoming a core part of our cloud strategy.

Skills and Experience

  • Experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services, including Virtual Machines, App Services, and Storage.
  • Strong skills in Azure DevOps and CI/CD processes.
  • Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or ARM Templates).
  • Knowledge of Networking and Security best practices within Azure.
  • Solid understanding of Azure AD for managing identities and permissions.
  • ADF, Synapse, Databricks (Desirable)
