Role: Back End Team Leader
Location: Leeds, (LS15) (with hybrid working after completion of training)
Salary: £60-£70k plus extensive benefits
Contract type: Permanent
Employment type: Full time
Working hours: 40 hrs pw, Monday to Friday

We are looking for a talented, hands on, passionate software development team leader to join an entrepreneurial e-commerce business, where they will work with a lot of autonomy and make a real difference. As the UK’s leading online pharmacy, we need to make sure our core services, website and app are a delight to use for our patients as well as stay ahead of the curve when it comes to innovation in our field. We are looking for either a current software development team lead or a current senior developer wanting to take their first step into team leadership.

As a team lead you should take this further, not only caring about the code you write but also the environment you foster, meaning that every decision you make has the best interests of your team and the projects we work on at its heart.
What kind of technology do we use?
We use .NET Core for our Microservices and backend systems, whilst using a combination of React, Next.js and TypeScript for our front-end interfaces.

What you’ll be doing?
Creating great software
Interacting with key stakeholders and working as a part of a driven team of experts
Taking great care in the code that you write and the environment you foster
Ensuring every decision you make has the best interests of the team and the project at its heart
Line management of team members including 121 meetings, setting targets and driving projects forward
Ensuring other team members build high-quality, test-driven code that meets the highest standards of good software engineering
Who are we looking for?
Degree in computer science/related field or comparable relevant experience gained in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment with competing deadlines and priorities
Has some experience with most of the technologies in our stack and willingness to learn others
Commercial knowledge and experience in C#, .NET Core
Knowledge of Azure, Azure Functions and TDD
Excellent attention to detail and good problem-solving skills and has worked in an agile environment
Commercial knowledge and experience writing SQL
People/line management skills
Great team player, able to hit the ground running
Professional with a keen attitude to learn and looks forward to actively contributing to the life and growth of Pharmacy2U
