About UsAlphaLoops is on a mission to automate manual work in the investment management industry using AI. This is a huge global market that is ripe for disruption. Our first product helps firms automate repetitive questionnaires (RFPs & DDQs), saving sales and operations teams hundreds of hours of manual work. We are working with a number of Hedge Funds and Asset Managers across the UK & EU. The three co-founders (Eric, Fred & Tys) who you will be working with closely, have considerable experience in the finance and technology domains. We have had tremendous feedback from early customers on our MVP, and we’re now looking to accelerate on our product roadmap. We’ve raised money from a fantastic network of Angels and VCs who are backing us to disrupt the sector. If that sounds exciting, then apply below 🚀 About the roleWe are looking for an experienced backend engineer who wants to work at a gen AI startup at the earliest possible stage. You’ll be working directly with the founding team, particularly with Tys (our CTO), and will take direct ownership of critical features. As a founding engineer you’ll have a totally green field to work in, and will have a very high level of autonomy. Compensation:Up to £75k per year, depending on experienceCompetitive ESOP (share options) Perks:Weekly team lunchNice, modern office space in central London (Victoria) with WFH flexibilityStill deciding on others, let us know what has been good before! About youWe are looking for a Founding BackEnd Engineer who:Has demonstrable experience with our tools & stack:Python, FastAPI, Postgres, Alembic, SQLModel/SQLAlchemy, LlamaIndex/LangChainAre fascinated by generative AI and the opportunities it unlocksExposure (and/or interest) in building with LLMs and autonomous agentsInfra experience is a plus (we’re on Azure)You love innovation and disrupting industries.
