Position: Administrative Assistant
Location: Craigavon Area Hospital Department
Hours: 32.5 hours per week (exclusive of meal times)
Pay: Competitive
Type: Temporary, with flexible working provisions available
Start Date: As soon as possible

\nWhat You'll Do:\n
    \n
  • \nReferral Management: Register incoming referrals for Cardiac investigations on the computerised system (TOMCAT) and add to relevant waiting lists.
  • \n
  • \nProtocol Compliance: Ensure that all referrals are processed in line with protocols for timely prioritisation (Urgent, managed, and routine).
  • \n
  • \nBooking Implementation: Fully implement booking using the waiting list by contacting patients as required and issuing letters.
  • \n
  • \nTelephone Communication: Answer calls and deal with inquiries from various callers, including the public and other Trust staff.
  • \n
  • \nConflict Resolution: Use interpersonal skills to defuse complex or contentious calls.
  • \n
  • \nAppointment Notifications: Assist in notifying of cancelled appointments and record information on TOMCAT regarding specific Cardiac Investigation results.
  • \n
  • \nRecord Management: Maintain, update, file, and retrieve departmental records, both manual and electronic.
  • \n
  • \nAdministrative Support: Provide cover for colleagues within the Cardiology department as required.
  • \n

  • You have relevant qualifications and experience in administrative roles.
  • \n
  • You possess excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • \n
  • You are proficient in Microsoft Office applications and can manage multiple tasks efficiently.
