Key Responsibilities:

\n
    \n
  • Perform routine and specialized laboratory tests in areas such as microbiology, biochemistry, haematology, or transfusion science.
  • \n
  • Process and analyse patient samples, ensuring high standards of quality and accuracy in results.
  • \n
  • Assist in the preparation, calibration, and maintenance of laboratory equipment and reagents.
  • \n
  • Work in collaboration with senior Biomedical Scientists and other healthcare professionals to support patient diagnosis and treatment.
  • \n
  • Adhere to health and safety protocols, laboratory guidelines, and quality control standards.
  • \n

Essential Criteria:

  • \nQualification: BSc in Biomedical Science (or equivalent).
  • \n
  • \nHCPC Registration (or eligibility for registration).
  • \n
  • \nExperience: Previous experience working in a laboratory setting, preferably in a hospital or healthcare environment.
  • \n
  • \nSkills: Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in laboratory techniques and equipment.
  • \n
  • \nCommunication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • \n

Desirable Criteria:

  • Experience in a specific discipline (e.g., microbiology, haematology) is an advantage but not essential.
