Job Description

Location: The Fiennes Centre, District Nursing – North, Banbury, OX16 9BF
Working Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
Shift Pattern: Monday to Sunday, 08:00 – 18:30
Pay Rates:
    \n
  • \nMonday to Friday: £21 per hour
  • \n
  • \nSaturday: £24 per hour
  • \n
  • \nSunday & Bank Holidays: £27 per hour
  • \n
Driving Requirement: Full and valid driving licence and access to a car for work purposes.
Are you a compassionate, dedicated Registered General Nurse (RGN) with community nursing experience or a passion for working in this setting? We are currently seeking experienced Band 5 RGNs to join our team at The Fiennes Centre, Banbury, as part of the District Nursing – North team. This is an exciting agency opportunity where you will be providing high-quality care in the community for patients with a wide range of needs.
Key Responsibilities:
    \n
  • \nCatheter care: Male and female catheterization management.
  • \n
  • \nEnd of Life Care: Providing compassionate care to patients nearing the end of life.
  • \n
  • \nSyringe Drivers: Administering medication using syringe drivers as required.
  • \n
  • \nWound care and leg dressings: Applying and managing wound care treatments and leg dressings.
  • \n
  • \nInjectable medication: Administering injectable medications, including insulin and others as required.
  • \n
  • \nMedication administration: Safely administering prescribed medication to patients.
  • \n
  • \nManaging drains: Care for patients with chest or wound drains.
  • \n
  • \nCompression bandaging: Application of compression bandages where necessary.
  • \n
What We Are Looking For:
    \n
  • \nRegistered Nurse (RGN) with an active NMC PIN.
  • \n
  • \nExperience in community nursing or willingness to work in the community setting.
  • \n
  • Strong skills in wound care, end-of-life care, catheter management, and injectable medications.
  • \n
  • \nFull and valid driving licence and access to a car for work purposes (as this is a community-based role).
  • \n
  • Ability to work independently and provide high-quality care to patients in the community setting.
  • \n
  • \nCompassionate, empathetic, and professional approach to patient care.
  • \n
