Job Description:
We are seeking two Band 6 Locum Audiologists to join our team at Kingston Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality audiology services, including hearing aid assessments, fittings, and aftercare. You will also provide essential support for ENT services and manage repairs, ensuring that patients receive comprehensive care.
What your responsibilities will be for this Audiology role?
As a Band 6 Locum Audiologist you will conduct routine audiology assessments for adults, evaluating hearing levels and determining appropriate interventions. You will fit and adjust hearing aids, providing thorough aftercare and guidance to patients on the use and maintenance of their devices. You will collaborate with ENT specialists to support patient care, ensuring seamless communication regarding patient needs and treatment plans. You will manage repairs for hearing aids, troubleshooting issues to restore optimal function. You will handle GP direct referrals, maintaining timely and effective communication with primary care providers. You will document patient interactions and maintain accurate records in accordance with professional standards and organizational policies.
Qualifications and Experiences:
Must be a registered Audiologist with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
Must hold a relevant degree in Audiology.
Must have experience in routine adult audiology work, including hearing aid assessment and fitting.
Experience in providing ENT support and managing hearing aid repairs is desirable.
Must possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Must be able to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Must demonstrate a commitment to providing patient-centered care and improving patient outcomes.
