Band 6 Occupational Therapist

Request locum support Medical-Surgical Acute Therapy Team. Currently have 1.0 WTE band 5 OT vacancy and 1.0 WTE Band 6 OT vacancy from August 1st. Further recruitment is underway but currently OT vacancies have been very difficult to fill, as per the national picture. Inpatient wards continue to generate high demand for OT assessments to expedite timely discharge of patients with increasingly complex needs. Senior decision making and risk management skills relating to discharge planning are required to support the Trust's aim to reduce the number of patients with NC2R (No Criteria to Reside) to 5% of the current bed base. Working pattern will be 37.5 hours, Monday to Friday. Preferably 08:30-16:30 but would except 08:00-16:00. We expect locum cost to be offset by the B6 OT and B5 OT vacancy.
