Job Overview: An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled and experienced Band 7 Occupational Therapist to join the multidisciplinary team at Frimley Park Hospital. This is an excellent chance to contribute to patient care within a well-established NHS setting on a temporary agency basis. The role offers a competitive rate of £31 per hour, paid via direct engagement.
As a Band 7 Occupational Therapist, you will provide expert assessment, advice, and rehabilitation to a diverse patient group, supporting the hospital’s commitment to high-quality patient care. This role offers flexibility and the chance to work within a supportive, dynamic healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities:\n- \nPatient Assessments: Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients’ physical, mental, and social functioning to develop individual treatment plans.
\n- \nRehabilitation & Therapy: Deliver high-quality therapeutic interventions to help patients regain their independence, working with patients with a range of conditions including physical disabilities, neurological conditions, and rehabilitation needs.
\n- \nMultidisciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with the multidisciplinary team (MDT), including doctors, nurses, and other therapists, to provide holistic care for patients.
\n- \nSupervision & Mentoring: Provide clinical supervision and guidance to junior staff, occupational therapy assistants, and students, ensuring high standards of practice.
\n- \nTreatment Plans & Documentation: Develop, implement, and review treatment plans in line with clinical best practice and NHS guidelines, ensuring accurate and timely documentation of patient progress.
\n- \nDischarge Planning: Contribute to discharge planning, assessing patient needs and ensuring a safe and effective transition from hospital to home or community settings.
\n- \nService Development: Support service improvement initiatives, ensuring the highest level of care and service delivery to patients.

Key Requirements:\n- \nHCPC Registration: Full registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as an Occupational Therapist.
\n- \nExperience: Extensive experience in an occupational therapy setting, with a proven track record of working in a Band 7 role or equivalent within the NHS or healthcare sector.
\n- \nClinical Skills: A comprehensive understanding of complex medical and psychological conditions and the ability to devise appropriate treatment plans.
\n- \nLeadership Skills: Demonstrated experience in supervising, mentoring, and supporting junior staff.
\n- \nCommunication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
\n- \nFlexibility: Ability to work flexibly and manage a busy caseload in a fast-paced hospital environment.
