Banksman

KCS are currently seeking a Banksman for an exciting opportunity in Newport. Join our team and play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and smooth operation of lifting and site activities.

Position: Banksman

Location: Newport

Hours: 10 hours on-site, 9.5 hours paid

Rate: �150 per day

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely direct vehicles and lifting equipment on-site.


• Guide crane and vehicle operators with hand signals or radio communication.


• Ensure all lifting operations are carried out in compliance with safety standards.


• Monitor site traffic and equipment movements to prevent accidents.


• Coordinate with other site workers to ensure smooth operations.


• Conduct safety checks of equipment and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Banksman is preferred.


• Banksman or relevant safety certification required.


• Strong understanding of safety regulations and site operations.


• Excellent communication and coordination skills.


• Ability to work well under pressure and in all weather conditions.


• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
