Its innovative culture is driven by the passion of its 4240- strong team of scientists who work with clients from around the world to solve their scientific problems, improve R&D productivity, speed up time to market and lower the cost of innovation.Key Responsibilities: Define the product strategy to facilitate both short and longer term growth.Drive the implementation within the geography through the BDsOverall look to build high value relationships with a wide range of customers capable of providing multiple high value projects coveringProduct developmentScale-upManufacture of clinical suppliesDrive the overall sales process to achieve quarterly and annual targetsEnsuring quotes are timely and of sufficient quality to win – drive the processProviding technical support to BD – Acting as an initial filter for new enquiriesUpdating market collateral as and when needed – providing training to wider BD team as neededProactively looking for opportunities at existing customers or within the market. Working stand alone or through TSSAttending appropriate trade and scientific conferencesProviding suitable reports on activity to senior management including the Chemistry headEducational Qualification: Masters or higher qualification in a life science. Ideally also have an MBA. Good understanding of strategic marketing is also an advantageFluent in both written and spoken English.Job PurposeDevelop and implement, through the BD team, a marketing and sales strategy that will grow the complex technology areas of :OligoneucleotidesPeptidesADCHigh Potent DrugsTarget in FY24 is to generate >$5mio. This is expected to grow to >$20 mio over the next 5 yearsThis role reports to the Development Services BD Function however there is a strong dotted line into the chemical development OU.Technical/functional Skills: Essential - Understand the key business drivers as they relate to CDMO servicesDesirable - Understanding of CRM systems and in particular Sales ForceDesirable - Wider appreciation of Pharmaceutical development servicesEssential - Good understanding of technical selling skills and management of an opportunity pipelineEffective planningAbility to manage both short and medium objectives.Ability to process large amounts of data quickly in order to find the right opportunities. Then to clearly articulate the value proposition for the relevant BD.Experience:The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years selling experience within a pharma services related environment, and specifically ADC and/or OligonucleotidesThe candidate will have familiarity of Sales Force and be aware of the importance of maintaining the data.The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in BD and/or strategic marketing. Candidate MUST be comfortable working through others as well as selling in general. This requires strong interpersonal skills and cultural awareness.
