Behaviour Mentor - Full-Time (Summer Term)
Location: Primary PRU, Leicester, Evington (Career Teachers)
Contract: Full-time, April 2025 - July 2025
Salary: Competitive, based on experience

We're looking for a dedicated and experienced Behaviour Mentor to join Elmbrook School (formerly Leicester City Primary PRU) for the whole of the summer term, covering maternity leave. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a specialist setting, supporting children with challenging behaviour difficulties.

The Role:
As a Behaviour Mentor, you will:

  • Work 1:1 and with small groups, delivering tailored interventions.
  • Support pupils with very challenging behaviour, helping them regulate and engage in learning.
  • Maintain a nurturing, patient, and supportive approach, building strong relationships.
  • Use your own initiative to adapt strategies and provide consistent, individualised support.
  • Collaborate with the wider team, demonstrating strong teamwork and professionalism.
  • Help maintain an organised, well-prepared learning environment.

Essential Criteria:
We're looking for someone who:

  • Has experience working with very challenging pupils and behaviour difficulties.
  • Is organised, proactive, and well-prepared.
  • Can deliver interventions 1:1 and in small groups effectively.
  • Is nurturing, patient, and adaptable in their approach.
  • Works well as a team player and demonstrates professionalism.
  • Shows good attendance and punctuality.
  • Is fit, able, and flexible to meet the demands of the role.

Desirable (but not essential):

  • Current Team Teach training or similar behaviour management qualifications.
