Are you passionate about supporting young people with challenging behaviours and mental health needs? We are seeking a Behaviour Mentor to join an alternative provision in High Wycombe , working with secondary-aged pupils who require specialist intervention to engage with education.
As a Behaviour Mentor in High Wycombe , you will be working closely with students who have experienced barriers to learning, including emotional-based school avoidance (EBSA) , anxiety, and behavioural difficulties. The ideal candidate will be resilient, patient, and able to build positive relationships with young people to help them re-engage with education.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with challenging behaviours.
Implement strategies to improve students' emotional regulation and social skills.
Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and external agencies to ensure tailored support.
Act as a positive role model, building trust and confidence in students.
Requirements:
Previous experience as a Behaviour Mentor , youth worker, teaching assistant, or in a similar role.
