This role will be aligned to our London office based in Victoria.PA is looking for an experienced and inspirational leader to build a team to provide global support to help win some of the largest, most challenging and fulfilling consulting assignments in the world. In this role you will be hands on - building, shaping and directing a growing team as well as directly improving our chances of winning our most strategic bids.Working at the heart of PA with global responsibilities, you will have a direct impact on PA's global growth and ability to deliver its strategy.Sectors we operate in include:Financial ServicesHealth & Life SciencesDefence & SecurityPublic SectorTransportConsumer & ManufacturingEnergy & UtilitiesYou will report to PA's Head of Sales and be supported by the wider sales teamYou will have opportunity for:Team leadership - lead a new and growing team of strategic bid leads and bid writers including guiding their development, building them as a team, allocating their time across markets and opportunities and coaching them towards best practiceSector Relationships - build close relationships with the leaders of all of our sectors and geographies, helping build, understand and qualify their pipeline of strategic opportunities in support of their growthBuild best practice - constantly look out for new ways of working, assessing and managing their introduction into the workplace (such as the use of generative AI tools)PA Leadership - be the 'face of bidding' within PA, maintaining the 'Bid Manual' as the source of best practice guidance for the firm globally as well as providing subject matter input into the global sales and business development training curriculum, content and approaches.Bid Leadership - for some of our most critical bids, you will take a hands on role, coaching and guiding our Partners and bid teams to create and articulate winning strategies for their most critical opportunitiesWhat strengths will you need to thrive in this role?Sales Leadership -– Build, inspire and grow a team of specialists to turbo-charge the quality of our most strategic bidsTeam Management - effectively manage the allocation of central resources to strategic opportunities.Innovation - strong strategic thinking and creative problem-solving skills to identify opportunities to improve our sales systems, processes and structures and to help improve win strategies.People skills – build senior executive and working team relationships quickly and provide constructive support, coaching and advice in a high-pressure environment.Gravitas – know your strengths and how to bring your experience as actionable insight for the team to use.Curiosity – You are unlikely to know all of our sectors and solutions in depth, so your role is to support your team to help articulate the insight of the business and make sure that these insights are evident throughout the written response and in the pitch.Flexibility – Comfortable with change. We are on a constant drive to transform and improve across PA including the way we support our bid teams.  And in bids themselves, timelines are frequently adjusted, and client demands shift. You will need to be able to roll with these changes and feel energised by the changing landscape.Self-starter – You will work directly with the sector teams, be responsible for making resourcing and allocation decisions and expected to drive without significant oversight or direction.Proactive – You love fixing problems. If you see a challenge, you will first, come up with a solution or range of solutions and then get buy-in to fix it.
