Huntswood is looking for a talented and experience Bid Manager to join our growing business and a busy commercial department.

Working out of our Reading head office, you'll make sure each business division gets the support they need to move things forward with potential business opportunities. Your role will be key in helping the company win new clients and successfully deliver on projects.

You'll be in charge of putting together proposal and presentation documents, plus other client materials. This means responding quickly to clients' requests for info and proposals (RFI/RFPs) and working with different teams and partners to get everything in on time and up to standard.

You'll help shape solutions to make sure our proposals are top-notch and meet Huntswood's methods and client needs.

Writing and editing bid content to create compelling materials that match what the client wants, and our agreed win themes is a big part of the job. You'll also make sure all bid submissions are accurate, creative, and follow the necessary rules at each step. Plus, you'll support opportunity owners to keep things on track with client requirements and deadlines.

All bid deliverables, like proposals and presentations, should be high quality, on time, and meet company standards.

Building good relationships with internal teams and clients during the bid phase is key, balancing everyone's needs and sorting out any issues that come up.

The ideal Bid Manager will have

  • Previous experience in managing bids ideally in a BPO or Consultancy environment
  • Proven Bid management experience, to include:
    • Bid writing and content creation
    • Managing the end-to-end bid process
    • Knowledge / bid library management
    • Identifying / implementing continuous process improvement initiatives
  • Strong communication skills, can proactively engage with people at all levels
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills, both written and verbal
  • Stakeholder management skills to deal with internal and external stakeholder
  • Be well organised and have excellent time management skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Be flexible and adaptable and comfortable working in a small team with a broad range of responsibilities
