We are seeking an experienced Bid Writer to join our clients dynamic team in Warrington. If you have a strong background in engineering (preferably within the nuclear industry) and a passion for creating clear, concise technical documentation, we want to hear from you. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment, is comfortable working independently, and enjoys leading a team to deliver high-quality outputs.

Responsibilities

Serve as the lead author for a wide range of technical documentation, ensuring accuracy and clarity.
Write and edit technical reports, manuals, and procedural documents in collaboration with engineers and subject matter experts.
Prepare meeting minutes from in-person attendance, Teams calls, or Teams recordings, ensuring detailed and precise documentation.
Manage and mentor a team, providing guidance and oversight to maintain high standards of documentation.
Independently drive projects and meet deadlines with minimal supervision, ensuring stakeholder expectations are met.
Articulate complex technical requirements in clear, accessible English for both technical and non-technical audiences.

Essential skills

Proven experience in technical documentation,
Demonstrated ability to write accurate and comprehensive meeting minutes across various formats (in-person, virtual, and recordings).
Strong leadership skills with the capability to manage and support a team.
Engineering background (nuclear industry experience preferred).
Excellent command of written English, with the ability to simplify complex concepts.
Highly organized and self-motivated, with the ability to work autonomously or collaboratively as required.
Flexibility to work in the Warrington office 2-3 days per week, with the remainder remotely.
