Job Title: Senior BIM Technician

Location: Central Edinburgh

Our client is a dynamic and innovative small engineering consultancy based in the heart of Central Edinburgh.

Their portfolio includes exciting ventures such as film studios, hotels, multi-story car parks, office blocks, distribution centres, retail units, and more.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior BIM Technician to join our dedicated team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the development and management of Building Information Modelling (BIM) processes, contributing to the successful delivery of our diverse projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage BIM models for a variety of large-scale projects.
  • Collaborate with engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely delivery of BIM content.
  • Coordinate BIM processes across multiple disciplines, ensuring consistency and quality.
  • Create and maintain detailed project documentation.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to junior technicians and team members.
  • Stay updated with industry standards and advancements in BIM technologies.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience as a BIM Technician, with a proven track record in delivering large, complex projects.
  • Proficiency in BIM software such as Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks.
  • Strong understanding of BIM standards and protocols.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
  • Degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant field (e.g., Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management).

Desirable:

  • Experience working on projects in sectors such as film studios, hotels, or retail units.
  • Knowledge of Dynamo, BIM 360, and other advanced BIM tools.
