BMS Project Manager

Location: Midlands-based (with regular travel to London)
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: Competitive + excellent benefits
Hours: 37.5 per week

Overview:


We are seeking a skilled and experienced BMS Project Manager to oversee and deliver Building Management System projects. Based in the Midlands with regular travel to London, this role is ideal for someone with a strong technical background-particularly in Trend and/or Distech systems-and a proven track record in project management. You'll be responsible for delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the highest standards while maintaining strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, manage, and deliver BMS projects from inception to completion
  • Coordinate project teams, resources, and workflow
  • Ensure compliance with project specifications, budgets, and timelines
  • Liaise with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to maintain strong working relationships
  • Provide technical expertise on Trend and/or Distech BMS systems (Tridium knowledge is a plus)
  • Oversee commissioning, servicing, and project handovers
  • Identify and mitigate risks that could affect project delivery
  • Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations and best practices
  • Provide regular progress updates and reports to senior management
  • Recommend system upgrades and improvements for efficiency and reliability

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Proven experience in managing BMS projects
  • Strong working knowledge of Trend, Distech, and/or Tridium systems
  • Excellent leadership and team coordination skills
  • Strong communication and customer liaison abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a methodical approach
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and BMS tools (e.g., Trend SET, IQVision, 963)

Desirable

  • Experience in the construction sector or similar industries
  • CSCS or equivalent health and safety qualification
  • Understanding of health and safety documentation and practices
