Bookkeeper - Hybrid

About the Role:

As a Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for managing the bookkeeping function for a variety of clients. Working within a hybrid arrangement (3 days in the office, 2 days from home), you will ensure clients receive top-tier support for their bookkeeping and cloud accounting needs. While this is a full-time position (35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm), we are also happy to consider applications from candidates looking for part-time opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supporting clients with their cloud-based accounting software, primarily Xero and QuickBooks.
• Managing clients' day-to-day accounting needs, providing excellent service and support.
• Addressing clients' queries and solving issues related to their accounting systems.
• Collaborating with the wider team on accounting and administrative tasks when needed.

The Candidate:

To excel in this role, you will need:

• Direct experience with Xero accounting software and the ability to support clients confidently.
• Prior bookkeeping experience, preferably in an accountancy practice (though not essential).
• Strong knowledge of cloud-based accounting software, including Xero and QuickBooks.
• A bookkeeping qualification from a recognised organisation, such as AAT, ICB, IAB, or City & Guilds (highly desirable).
• Excellent communication skills and a proactive, problem-solving approach.
• Proficiency in spreadsheets and general computing skills.

• The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team, supporting clients with their systems and collaborating with colleagues to deliver excellent service.

You'll also need to be personable, team-oriented, and highly organised, with a passion for providing excellent client service.
