VAT & Bookkeeper
Salary up to £30,000 (DOE)

My client is currently seeking an enthusiastic individual to join a hardworking and friendly team. The individual will have excellent communication and people skills, as great client relationships are essential to the service that they offer. This is an ideal role for someone who is looking for the next step in their career. The ideal candidate will have experience from a practice background.
Responsibilities
* Data entry on accounting software (Quickbooks, Dext, Xero etc)
* Maintaining client records
* Producing reports for clients
* Working Payroll on monthly submissions to HMRC for wages and CIS returns
* Managing and submitting client VAT returns
* Processing standard monthly wages
* Assisting with CIS return submissions
Skills and Experience
* At least 3 years' experience with data entry & bookkeeping
* Experience of Sage 50, Xero, QuickBooks, Iris, Sage Business Cloud an advantage
* Previous experience with payroll software would be preferable (Bright pay, Sage payroll)
* Has a strong eye for detail, feels comfortable liaising with clients via telephone and face to face, and who is eager and willing to learn.
* Excellent Time Management Skills
* Exceptional Communication Skills with a good telephone manner
* Good written and technical Skills
* Strong Prioritisation and Organisation Skills
* Ability to Handle Confidential Information
* Strong Record Keeping Skills
For any lacking experience with payroll, training would be provided as required, whether that be specific software training, or on the job support.
