Base Salary: £28,000-£33,000 We are recruiting for a Bookkeeper on behalf of a fast growing technology business in Belfast. As Bookkeeper you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, including processing transactions, reconciling accounts, invoicing management and cash allocations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to work independently. Key Responsibilities: Record Financial Transactions: Accurately enter and categorize financial transactions in the company's accounting system, including sales, purchases, payments, and receipts. Reconcile Accounts: Perform regular bank and account reconciliations to ensure all transactions are recorded accurately and discrepancies are identified and resolved. Manage Accounts Payable and Receivable: Monitor and process invoices, track outstanding payments, and manage collections to ensure timely and accurate payments. Maintain General Ledger: Ensure that the general ledger is up-to-date and accurately reflects the companys financial position. Assist with Payroll: Support the payroll process by recording payroll transactions, preparing payroll reports, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. Support Tax Preparation: Assist with the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax requirements. Budget Tracking: Assist in tracking and managing budgets, highlighting any variances or discrepancies. Financial Analysis: Provide insights and analysis on financial performance, identifying trends and opportunities for cost savings or revenue enhancement. Prepare Financial Reports: Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. Qualifications: An Accounting Qualification (AAT, CIMA, ACCA) is preferred. Experience: Minimum of 2+ years of bookkeeping experience Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software ideally working with Xero and MS Office, particularly Excel. Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in managing financial data. Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills. Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
