Bookkeeper 



Salary: £15-£17 per hour dependent on skills and experience



Saltaire (Salts Mill), West Yorkshire BD18- On-site free parking 



Full-time preferred, but flexible/part-time hours will be considered for the right candidate

As we continue to expand, we are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to play a key role in our financial operations. 



Your role & responsibilities:



As our Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining the financial health of the company, ensuring accuracy, and providing valuable insights to support decision-making. Your key tasks will include: 




  • Tracking and reconciling financial transactions to ensure accurate records. 

  • Keeping all financial data up-to-date and organised. 

  • Monitoring and forecasting cash flow, ensuring smooth financial operations. 

  • Utilising Xero for financial reporting, invoicing, and account management. 

  • Managing outstanding invoices, liaising with customers, and ensuring timely payments. 

  • Handling payments, bank reconciliations, and financial transactions. 

  • Assisting with payroll preparation to ensure employees are paid accurately and on time. 

  • Preparing financial reports and summaries to support business planning. 

  • Working closely with accountants, suppliers, and other financial professionals. 



The ideal candidate:




  • Proven background in bookkeeping, with strong financial expertise. 

  • Proficiency in Xero (essential) and experience with Sage is a plus. 

  • A keen eye for accuracy in financial record-keeping. 

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. 

  • Understanding of business financial needs and operations. 

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to engage with internal and external stakeholders. 

  • A self-motivated individual who can work independently but also thrives in a team setting. 

  • A high level of discretion when handling sensitive financial information.
