Providing complete design freedom to build mission specific EVs, EVs ‘Powered by REE’ will provide maximum room for passengers, cargo and batteries with the smallest footprint and help reduce carbon emissions for a greener world.We are currently looking for an experienced Brakes Performance Engineer (6 months contract) to support REE’s rapid growth.Responsibilities:Responsible for brakes vehicle testing and performance of REE braking system, to meet program-specific attribute targets and timingDevelop and write REE brakes test procedures for development and performance sign-off criteria.Perform vehicle testing activities and reportingResponsible for brakes vehicle instrumentationProvides support into braking system DFMEAProvides input into system DVP requirementsLead benchmarking activitiesTechnical interface to other business units including V&V, SW and controls.Requirements:Degree qualified in Engineering, Science or related disciplineExperience of working in a complex engineering environmentHave proven experience of developing and testing braking systems within an OEM or tier 1 organization. Including braking performance tests, ABS tests and NVH.Proven experience with Vector software and vehicle test instrumentation and loggingExperience of brake by wire systems and actuation an advantage.Possess good understanding of braking system attributes, foundation brakes, controls/SW and homologation requirements.Proven test planning and reporting skillsManaging workload in a fast-paced environment with potential for changing priorities.Working experience of Microsoft Office products including SharePoint, Excel and WordBe a team player with the ability to work alongside talented colleagues as part of a driven and dedicated teamRole mostly based at UK test facilityMay be required to travel to overseas test locations
