You will proactively lead the team and manage the day-to-day tasks within the depot. You will be central to driving the business forward, improving effectiveness, communication and team development while continuing to deliver first-class customer service.
- Generating new and servicing/expanding current customers through a commitment to first class customer service to help drive the company sales forward.
- Keeping a well-stocked, clean and presentable branch
- Oversight of day-to-day depot operations
- including opening/locking up
- General management of team performance and personnel matters including recruitment and onboarding
- Mentoring, coaching and encouraging all depot staff ensuring all training and development needs are met.
- Ensuring customers are treated with the highest level of customer service, in line with our Customer Service Standards whether via the Trade Counter, Phone and Email, Site Visits or deliveries
- Supervising stock takes, stock control and purchase and being responsible for all assets across the depot.
- Coordinating the transport resources in the most efficient manner.
- Ensuring that all work and processes are carried out in-line with H&S guidelines.
- Liaising with the Sales team and assisting in the management of customer accounts on a regular basis.
- Playing an active role in maintaining and expanding the existing customer base.
- Monitoring the communication with all staff, other depots and to customers
- Motivate staff to achieve goals and improve morale within the branch.
- Work closely with the internal teams, as required, to resolve customers issues.
- Ensures compliance with the relevant policies and procedures.
- Ensure good housekeeping and presentation of the whole depot.
