Beavertown began life in a tiny BBQ joint in Haggerston, North London. In 2020 we opened BEAVERWORLD, our Out of this World brewery & mothership in Ponders End. Alongside our Lockwood Brewery in Tottenham Hale and our micro-brewery at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium we have the capacity to brew a staggering 90 million pints a year.

The Role
We are Beavertown and We Come in Peace, Pints, and Cans.
Fancy joining an innovative company within the brewing and cellaring team to ensure the production of wort, its fermentation and conditioning while meeting our quality control and production targets? What You’ll Be Doing
Carrying out daily brewhouse duties, including:
Operate on a fully automated 150hl brewhouse
Responsible for all aspects of wort production
Malt preparation
Brewhouse CIPs
Keeping systems and records up to date (including but not limited to BOTEC, SAP and full Microsoft Office package excel/sharepoint/teams/powerapps).
Assisting other brewers during shift overlaps.
Performing basic quality checks. Phys-Chem checks, yeast counts & yeast viability.
Ensuring correct use, storage and stock level management of relevant raw materials (malt, hops, salts etc).
Assisting on projects when needed
Supervising, guiding and teaching junior members of the team to ensure all tasks are completed.
Carrying out daily Cellaring duties, including:
Operate in a fully automated cellar
Measuring in tank CO2/DO
Ensuring beer is in spec for packaging dates.
Yeasting /hopping off vessels as required.
Yeast management.
Carrying out Vessel cleans (CIPs).
Operating automated Dry-Hopping procedure.
Separation of green beer using a centrifuge
Filtration of beer using a sheet filter
Monitoring fermentation, ensuring Fermentation profiles are adhered to.
Performing basic quality checks. Phys-Chem checks, yeast counts & yeast viability.
Keeping systems and records up to date (including but not limited to BOTEC, SAP and full Microsoft Office package excel/sharepoint/teams/powerapps).
Capable of troubleshooting problems.
Carrying out hygiene work, ensuring the brewery is kept clean.
Ensuring accurate records are kept and written procedures are followed.
Ensuring all products and processes meet relevant Food Hygiene standards.
Ensuring raw materials and supplies are made ready and available to facilitate work.
Ensuring that the quality of product leaving Beavertown Brewery is excellent at all times.
People
To partake in any developmental training as required in compliance with the company standard
Responsible for promoting a professional image of the Company and for complying with the company's Equal Opportunities and Harassment Policies at all times, including work related events which take place outside normal working hours.
Read and comply with company rules, procedures, agreements and any notices displayed by the Company.
Increasing your understanding of the art and science of brewing through study and investigation. All Brewers should be working towards their IBD certificate or equivalent.
Demonstrating the ‘Beavertown Way’ to visitors and clients through knowledge, enthusiasm and hospitality.
Providing cover as a team 24 hours per day, 7 days week including bank holidays (e.g. Christmas); Brewing Ops (Brewhouse) at Beaverworld.
Operating as a Keyholder, being the most senior person on site.
Quality
To operate in line with SALSA, BRC and ISO 9000 Quality systems with specific reference to quality, complaints and non-conformances.
Health and Safety
All staff have a duty to work in accordance with the Health & Safety at Work Act (#####), COSHH Regulations and other relevant policies and procedures.
Comply with all relevant Health, Safety and Security Regulations, Company's policies and documents.
What You’ll Bring To Us
Previous experience working within a brewing team.
IBD General Certificate, IBD Diploma, MSc in Brewing is preferred or Understanding of brewing science, equipment, and techniques
Hands on full-time experience working in a breweryKnowledge of mechanical and electrical engineering Familiar with laboratory equipment and methods
Attention to detail Positive and committed attitude
Good communication skills
Willing to work antisocial hours
Ability to lift heavy items on a daily basis preferred
